Maspalomas - Las Palmas de Gran Canaria Spain

Maspalomas is a tourist town in the south of the island of Gran Canaria. The town of Maspalomas is formed by the pond of the same name, the dunes and the palm tree grove, all of them with a great ecological value. The district has a total of 29 beaches and coves, including the beaches of Inglés, Maspalomas and San Agustín, all of which hold the blue flag awarded by the European Union. The more up-market Maspalomas resort, with smart hotels, luxury residences and the largest golf course on the island, is separated from Playa del Inglés by a spectacular stretch of 400 hectares of dunes, which in 1994 were designated a national park. You can only cross the dunes on foot or by camel, which makes you believe you’re in a different part of the world altogether.
